Licensed in Virginia and Washington, D.C., to assist clients in purchase and sale of residential real estate.  Over 85% of annual business from repeat clients and client referrals.  

• 2014-2018 - Annually booked an average of $20+ million in sales and 30+ units.

• 2015-2018 - Top Agent as recognized by Washingtonian magazine.

Evaluate, create, and implement training program for 100+ agents in office during broker transition.

 

 

USA RICE FEDERATION, Arlington, VA 2000 to 2003

Acting President and CEO (concurrent with VP position) March 2002 to 2003

Provided structure to and day-to-day oversight of operations of $12 million budget trade association, including staff of 24 in several locations around the world.  Assisted Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as well as boards of Federation’s 3 charter members, in implementing mission and strategic goals of the organizations.

 

Vice President, Domestic and International Promotion 2001 to 2003

Oversaw $7 million promotion program for all major forms and types of U.S.-grown rice, implemented in the United States and 40 countries by U.S. and foreign staff.  Together with member committees, sought to design and oversee implementation of promotion programs that increased consumption of U.S. rice while maximizing leverage of dollars spent.

 

Vice President, International Promotion 2000 to 2001

Position newly created by association; sought by CEO re. USAEDC success (see also).  Developed contracting, coding, and administrative procedures to simplify, clarify, and make routine the accurate planning, expending, and tracking of programs and their expenditures, as well as work with the International Promotion Committee.

 

 

U.S. GRAINS COUNCIL, Washington, D.C. 1999 to 2000

Executive Director 1999 to 2000

Identified previously unknown organizational and personnel challenges in accounting, communications, membership, and human resources departments, while simultaneously overseeing 15 staff in these departments and giving direction to their efforts.  Developed basic strategic plans for four departments, focusing on implementation of association’s basic messages, target audience development, departmental responsibilities, and specific deliverables.

U.S. AGRICULTURAL EXPORT DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, Washington, D.C.

Executive Director 1996 to 1999

• Operated independently as sole staff member.  Accountable for association’s specific and overall accomplishments and fiscal integrity.  Re-positioned association to win confidence of membership that organization was worth their continued investment.  

• Instilled transparency and professionalism to financial and management operations, as well as annual meetings.  Increased reserves 70% to more than one-half annual expenditures.  Produced all-time record attendance levels at four annual meetings.

• Forged, strengthened, and re-built links with existing and new members, as well as U.S. government agencies.  Developed association information strategy, including first-ever monthly newsletters, web site, and regular communications.

• Conceptualized and managed association's transition from an independent operation to one of being managed by an association management firm.

 

 

AMERICAN FOREST & PAPER ASSOCIATION, Washington, D.C. 1987 to 1996

Special Assistant to the President, Office of the President 1995 to 1996

Position newly created by association.  Researched, analyzed, and communicated issues to member CEOs, senior association management, and association staff regarding association's re-organization.  As former member of Congress and White House staff, president required strong and crisp analytical, leadership, and communications skills.

 

Director, Cross-Industry Programs, International Trade Dept. 1990 to 1995

Position newly created by association.  Oversaw U.S. government-funded marketing efforts to promote exports of U.S. wood products.  Responsible for annual $6 million global budget. Directly supervised overseas and domestic staff and consultants.
